Page 2. The friendships I've formed here are the best friends I’ve ever had...
If it wasn’t for the Stepping Stone ¾ house I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to have the life that I have now. First and foremost, it promotes the attitude of recovery by living with other recovering addicts. Two of these addicts on my floor are the two best friends that I have. If it weren’t for this house I not only would’ve been homeless, jobless, and hopeless I wouldn’t have had a second chance at life. The friendships I have formed since being at the Stepping Stone house are the best friends I’ve ever had.
The women who run the sober house truly care about all the guys who live there. They don’t hammer us about the rules as much as about our recovery and all of our personal well-being. It is a miracle that I have had the opportunity to be part of the Stepping Stone family of recovery.
In closing, the house in general has saved my life, given me hope and a great sober environment on which I can start my life fresh at age thirty. It is a miracle that I am sober and living. The house has helped me more than words can say. I am now working on my marriage, employed at a local tree service, have my own vehicle, and am able to have a relationship with my children. I owe this all to the Stepping Stone house, the guys in it, and the women who run it.
Sincerely, Adam Sprehem (Alcoholic/Addict)
It gives me hope of a new way of life...
Moving to this sober house was one of the best moves I have ever made. It helped me get my life together. It gave me a safe place to live and clean people to talk to. It helps show me a new way of life. I believe if I didn’t have a place like this to move to I would not still be clean.
It gives me hope of a new way of life, one without drugs or alcohol. It makes it easier to stay clean. And having other sober people to talk to also helps.
I am most grateful...
First and foremost, I got just over a year of sobriety. I would have never got this out on my own. This is a safe place where I have been able to deal with lives everyday problems and know to deal with them and not drink.
I have also learned to be around other people, although sometimes it is not easy. I have also been able to learn to live a positive life for myself and my children. I am most grateful for Damark House.

This house has given me family and friends!!!
Hi! My name is Rich Black This house has given me family and friends and far most important how to deal with relationships with other people.
It helped me to grow in my recovery and to develop a sense of responsibility. And the opportunity to help others. And with that said I continue on to become the house manager of the Norwich area.
